Delicious Pork Souvlaki Skewers Recipe

Ingredients

  • 2 pork tenderloins (approximately 3/4 lb. each)
  • 1/2 cup olive oil
  • 1/4 cup lemon juice
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced or crushed
  • 1 tablespoon dried oregano
  • Salt
  • Pepper
  • 8 skewers, metal or wooden

Instructions

  • Begin by placing the pork tenderloins on a cutting board and cutting them into 2 cm (3/4 inch) cubes.
  • In a spacious bowl, combine the olive oil, lemon juice, minced garlic, and dried oregano, whisking them together thoroughly.
  • Add the cubed pork to the bowl, then use your hands or tongs to ensure it’s evenly coated with the marinade. Refrigerate and allow it to marinate for a minimum of 1 hour or, for enhanced flavor, up to 24 hours.
  • Once the pork has marinated to perfection, thread the pork cubes onto skewers and generously season with salt and pepper on all sides. Discard any unused marinade.
  • Preheat your grill or grill pan to medium-high heat, then add the skewers and grill for 3-4 minutes on each side, or until the pork reaches an internal temperature of 145°F.
  • After grilling, remove the pork skewers from the heat and allow them to rest for a few minutes before serving.
