Upon entering the long, slim room, they found a drain, a working light switch, and mats on the floor, indicating that the room had been used previously. The space was cleverly disguised by a “sliding drywall pocket door,” which had kept it hidden from view.
As the couple explored the room, they began to speculate about its purpose. They suggested it could have been used as a panic room, a bomb shelter, or even a gun safe.
