Kittens are overjoyed to have access to nourishing meals and a warm, cozy sanctuary after being discovered in a cardboard box outside a store. During early April, a dedicated foster volunteer named Nadija, associated with AnimalLuvr’s Dream Rescue in Florida, received a distressing call about a pair of kittens abandoned in front of a local feed store. “They were found in a box labeled as ‘FREE.’ The person who found them reached out for help,” Nadija revealed to Love Meow.

These two kittens, who were approximately three weeks old, were infested with fleas. Nadija took them into her foster home to ensure they received proper care and a nurturing environment.

“When they arrived, they were extremely hungry and crying loudly. I quickly fed and warmed them before they snuggled up for some much-needed rest,” Nadija explained.

The initial 24 hours are typically the most challenging for orphaned kittens, as they struggle to adjust to bottle feedings and kitten milk replacement. Fortunately, both kittens began latching onto the bottle after only a few feedings.

Once they were free from the torment of fleas, these kittens reveled in their newfound comfort, kneading on their blankets and emitting tiny purrs.

These two playful kittens egged each other on while savoring their bottle-fed meals. They frolicked on their clean, soft sheets after each feeding, forming a cuddle puddle before drifting off to sleep.

Despite their small size, these kittens exuded a surprising amount of feistiness.

After a few days in foster care, the kittens faced some health challenges. Fortunately, they received round-the-clock care and an abundance of tender loving care, which helped them regain their appetites and energy.

Following a rocky start in life, these feline sisters could finally relax in their cozy kitty suite and embrace their new chapter together.

Nadija joyfully shared, “They are now back to eating, gaining some weight, and, most importantly, they have lots of energy again.”

These two kittens embody the spirit of catittude and are unapologetically vocal about their needs. As they grow and become more active, their unique personalities emerge.

While their origins outside the store remain a mystery, these two kittens will never have to endure another day in the great outdoors.

Thriving and having formed bonds with other furry residents in the house, the sisters have grown in size and fluff, using their newfound strength to explore and create mischief.

They are an endearing pair, inseparable in their activities and quick to follow each other’s pawprints. Nadija shared with Love Meow, “They have big personalities, are very chatty, love to explore, make friends with other cats and dogs, and adore snuggling.”

In a few weeks, these delightful sisters will be ready to find their forever home together. For now, they are busy honing their feline skills and making the most of each day.
