Aurora Blazingstar and her partner made a shocking discovery in their home when they removed the carpet in their basement, uncovering a hidden room they had been unaware of for the four years they had lived in the house.
The couple’s surprising find began when they pushed out a section of the wall, revealing a metal door that led to a completely unknown room. Despite having lived in the house for four years, Aurora and her partner had no idea that this secret space existed.
Upon entering the long, slim room, they found a drain, a working light switch, and mats on the floor, indicating that the room had been used previously. The space was cleverly disguised by a “sliding drywall pocket door,” which had kept it hidden from view.
As the couple explored the room, they began to speculate about its purpose. They suggested it could have been used as a panic room, a bomb shelter, or even a gun safe. However, TikTok followers who saw Aurora’s video had more sinister ideas, pointing out that the handle on the outside of the door raised suspicions.
Some users suggested that the room could have been a “murder room” used by a serial killer, citing the drain and “rust” on the floor as evidence. Concerned followers advised the couple to bring in a cadaver dog to investigate the space further.
Responding to the concerns raised by TikTok users, Aurora and her partner called the police to investigate the hidden room. Officers arrived at the scene and thoroughly examined the space, but found no evidence of any crime having taken place there. Despite the lack of criminal activity, the police were impressed by how well the room had been concealed within the home.
Interestingly, this wasn’t the first time the couple had discovered a secret room in their house. Prior to finding the hidden basement room, they had uncovered another concealed space behind a wall mirror upstairs. That room is now being used as a playroom for their children, adding an unexpected and exciting feature to their home.
