Allison Holker Boss, the dancer and TV host, recently opened up about finding strength in her three children after the tragic suicide of her husband, Stephen ‘tWitch’ Boss, at the age of 40. In her first interview with PEOPLE since the devastating loss, she spoke about the special bond she shares with her daughters Weslie, 14, Zaia, 3, and son Maddox, 7, and how they are helping each other cope with the grief.

Holker spoke about how her kids have been a source of support and comfort for her during this difficult time. She expressed her pride in them for being willing to communicate openly with her, even asking her difficult questions, and for being there for her when she needs them most. She also acknowledged the pressure they feel to take care of her, but sees it as a testament to Stephen’s legacy and the kind of father he was.

Since her husband’s passing, Holker has been focused on creating joyful memories with her children and celebrating milestones together. She emphasized the importance of taking care of her kids during this time and helping them to find happiness and a sense of normalcy despite the tragedy.

Holker also shared how they keep Stephen’s memory alive by talking to him through the stars and how she sees different parts of him in their children. She expressed her admiration for her daughter Weslie’s strength and resilience, and how her son Maddox brings joy to their lives. She also spoke about how their youngest daughter Zaia has inherited Stephen’s intuition.

The family recently launched the Move with Kindness Foundation at Stephen’s celebration of life service, where Weslie gave a moving tribute to her father. Holker spoke about how her daughter’s strength inspired her to be strong for her kids, and how they all laughed together while remembering Stephen, knowing that it’s what he would have wanted.
