The unexpected influx of these furry creatures left the staff shocked and scrambling to provide adequate care for their new charges. Centre manager Ruth McCabe expressed her astonishment, stating, “We’ve never had a sudden intake of such a large amount of animals.”
The arrival of the guinea pigs was not a planned event, but rather the result of a tragic circumstance. The animals were donated to the RSPCA following the death of their previous owner, leaving them in need of new homes and care.
