Actress Reese Witherspoon and talent agent Jim Toth have announced that they are ending their marriage after over a decade together. The couple, who share a 10-year-old son named Tennessee, released a joint statement on Witherspoon’s Instagram account, stating that they have made the difficult decision to divorce, but that they are moving forward with deep love, kindness, and mutual respect for everything they have created together.
Although the reason for their split has not been disclosed, sources have stated that there was no particular drama or event that led to the decision. Rather, the former couple had become co-parents who no longer had romantic feelings for each other, according to a source who spoke with Page Six. Another insider added that after almost 12 years together, there was “zero spark and zero romance left.”

Despite the end of their romantic relationship, Witherspoon and Toth plan to co-parent their son together and have expressed their commitment to doing so with love and respect. The couple worked together on Witherspoon’s media business, Hello Sunshine, which sold in 2021 for a reported $900 million. Another source told Page Six that they had built a lot together, but that their lives had moved in a way that made them want to make this decision together.
