In the early months of 2016, film producer Sebastian Bear-McClard made contact with a 17-year-old girl through Instagram. This led to a casual meeting in a loft located in Soho. Shortly after, Bear-McClard informed the Safdie brothers that he had found the perfect candidate to fill a small role in their upcoming film, “Good Time.” The young woman, who came from a financially disadvantaged background in New York, was thrilled at the opportunity to meet Robert Pattinson, the film’s star, who was then a popular heartthrob among teenage girls worldwide due to his role in the “Twilight” series.
