A discarded kitten found itself embracing a world of joy, exuberantly expressing its newfound happiness with playful bunny kicks the moment it set foot in a loving home.
In the late stages of the previous month, a compassionate individual stumbled upon a tiny kitten that had been abandoned and cruelly discarded within a garbage can. This kind-hearted soul made the noble decision to bring the kitten into their home, meticulously tending to its needs with tender care and devotion.
However, it soon became evident that the young kitten required more care and attention than the kind rescuer could provide. In response, the rescuer reached out to the Toronto Humane Society, seeking assistance for the little one.
“The kitten was astonishingly young, estimated to be around 2.5 to 3 weeks old,” shared Tania, a dedicated foster volunteer from the rescue organization, with Love Meow.
Deprived of the comforting presence of its feline mother, the tabby kitten, now known as Viktor, became utterly reliant on a dedicated volunteer to ensure its constant care and nourishment. Unfortunately, the person who initially found Viktor was unaware of the necessity to assist such a young kitten with its toileting needs after every meal, as a mother cat would naturally do. Consequently, by the time Viktor reached the shelter, his little belly had swollen significantly.
Fortunately, a skilled veterinary technician came to Viktor’s aid, providing him with the care he so desperately needed. It was as if a heavy burden had been lifted from the kitten’s tiny shoulders, and with a sense of relief, he collapsed onto his face, swiftly surrendering to peaceful slumber.
Viktor embarked on his journey in foster care with a sense of curiosity and an unmistakable twinkle in his eyes. He came equipped with the most melodious and endearing meows that Tania had ever heard.
“He adores resting his chin on anything within reach. Be it my chest, a toy, or any nearby object, he’ll gently rest his chin and close his eyes as I speak softly to him.”
Despite his small stature, Viktor displayed remarkable determination as he ventured around his newfound surroundings with endearing, unsteady steps.
When Viktor seized his very first toy, he wiggled with boundless enthusiasm, launching into a delightful flurry of kicks that radiated sheer joy.
“He has blossomed into a playful bundle of energy. Even though he lacks the company of another kitten, he fearlessly takes on his stuffed animal companions, one by one. His determination is fierce yet filled with love.”
