Due to the memorable scene in which Oberyn meets his demise, fans would often request selfies with their thumbs placed near his eyes, mimicking the character’s tragic fate. Pascal shared that he initially obliged, appreciating the support and success of his character. However, this well-intentioned gesture led to an unexpected eye infection, which he humorously blamed for his red carpet accessory, his eyeglasses.
