This is an ideal activity to do at home with children or grandchildren, introducing them to the wonder of life, which often captivates them. In just a few minutes, you can amaze them, and within a week, you’ll have a fascinating result.

Steps to Grow an Apple Seedling from a Single Seed

Start by carefully removing and saving the black seeds. Thoroughly wash and dry them before placing them in an airtight container lined with a piece of absorbent paper at the bottom. Prior to placing the seeds, give them a light spritz of water to make them slightly moist.

Next, moisten another piece of absorbent paper and use it to cover the seeds. Close the container and put it in the refrigerator – this is the secret. Allow the seeds to germinate in a cool place, such as the egg compartment.

In just 10 days, you will witness small roots emerging from the seeds. You can then plant them in a pot filled with well-draining soil, creating a small hole for them. Within a few days, the first leaves will begin to appear.

It’s crucial not to touch the seeds or, more importantly, the delicate roots with your hands. Instead, use tweezers to avoid any potential damage from heat.
