Lucille possesses firsthand experience in managing these conditions, having dedicated nearly two decades to working with them at a time when most veterinarians were unaware of these diseases. When she rescued Journey, he was on the brink of surrendering, but after five months of treatment, he is gradually on the road to recovery. Although his recuperation will take time, he continues to enjoy a high quality of life and relishes nothing more than snuggling on Lucille’s lap while she lovingly pets him under the chin. Despite facing criticism from some individuals who suggested euthanasia for Journey, Lucille remains steadfast in providing him with the finest possible care and a contented existence.
