‘If you lose this Battle, it will be… some Adam Levine-level failure stuff’: Shelton shades original ‘Voice’ rival during final Battle Rounds

The latest episode of The Voice Season 23 featured the final Battle Rounds of the competition, marking the end of an era for coach Blake Shelton. While the show was full of exciting performances, one particular moment stood out as a surprise.

During the episode, it was announced that British country singer Alex Whalen had dropped out of the competition due to a medical reason. As a result, his intended Battle partner, Neil Salsich, performed solo and advanced to the Knockout Rounds by default. Blake Shelton, ever the Joker, teased Neil by saying that if he lost the Battle, it would be the worst fail in history, making a reference to former coach Adam Levine.

While it was a shame that Alex Whalen had to drop out, it was clear from Neil’s performance that he would have been a tough competitor. Even performing solo, Neil impressed the coaches and Blake praised him for owning the moment and blowing everyone away.
